Putting the Procurement Pieces Together

Few would argue that procurement is one of the most complicated aspects of school meal programs. To better understand this topic, an SNA Task Force has produced Solving the Procurement Puzzle: Managing the Complexities of Doing Business in K-12 School Foodservice. This 40+-page report identifies potential strategies to address education and compliance and encourages the implementation of best practices. It’s a must-read for school nutrition directors, district business officials and procurement officers, manufacturers, distributors and state agency personnel and is available as a free, downloadable PDF on SchoolNutrition.org.
