Message from the President

Well it is that time of year where we spend time with friends and family!  I hope this season brings you joy and happiness.  This is also the time of year where we reflect on what was and the New Year!  As we continue to grow our trees I hope that we always find pride in the job that we do each day.  The children of Georgia depend on us to be on our game every day.

I know sometimes we are down and out but remember the new day brings hope.  I am always amazed at what we all can accomplish as a team.  I work for the best business and association out there.  I have been traveling and seeing all the great things you are doing and how you are branching out to succeed.  I am filled with pride that our school nutrition family tree extends limbs of help and hope throughout the community. Everyone doesn’t have friends and family to ask for help and it is wonderful that our school nutrition family looks out for those that are in any kind of need.  The donations and charities we adopt not just during this time of year but ALL year shows the genuine heart that we have for humanity!  You don’t see that much with all that is in the news.

I still love my job and this great state that I have the privilege of being a part of in my life.  I want everyone to use this time off (that we count down) in order to refuel your body, soul and mind.  I am trying to be better at being in the moment.  I feel I miss a lot because I am always looking at what I have to do next and not focused on the now.  The world is a big place that consumes us, but only if we let it.

I heard someone say, “don’t let anyone steal your power.”  I thought about that and power is exactly what we need to take back in our work and personal life.  Your day can only be derailed if you let it.
I love each of you with all my heart.  Our members keep me going without them even knowing it.  The fellowship we have during meetings and training sessions just recharges me for what I want to accomplish in my year.  The year sure does fly by and I know we all understand that.  I wanted to send you words that have been on my mind and I hope that this article brings you that light you may need to continue the New Year with the power to reach your goals.  I want you to know that you are appreciated for all your hard work!!
