President 's Message

Dear Miracle Makers,
Well,I guess the old adage is true, time really does fly when you are having fun. I cannot believe we are in October already. We kicked off one of my most favorite weeks of the year, National School Lunch Week, with a day of celebration in Macon. The festivities included, awesome training and lunch with the family.
However, the excitement has only begun with the Manager’s Retreat, SNAP Training and Crop Show right around the corner. My miracle makers are you ready for a month of learning and life changing memories, you do not want to miss a single event.

Season of Change: As October starts, a new season of change is in the air. The weather is getting that cool nip in the evenings with the sun going down before we even get home from work. Chili and soups start popping up on lunch menus and pumpkins are everywhere.
Fall enters in all its glory with leaves turning colors like those that we have never seen before. I really feel that hearts are changing from your acts of kindness and servant leadership. How can we encourage others to embrace a season of change?

Changing Hearts: With the fall creeping in and the holidays on the horizon, kindness is in the air. The holidays seem to bring our open hearts along with a spirit of giving and servitude that we do not see every month.

I often wonder what our world would look like if the spirit of the holidays were present all year long. Would world hunger be lower and would our school culture be different? So, miracle makers lets carry the spirit of the holidays into the new year and influence hearts to be changed all year long. Changing our world one heart at a time.

Ready, Set, Go!

GSNA President 2018-2019
