GSNA Donates to the SNA Richard Russell Leadership Series

SNFoundation

GSNA presented the School Nutrition Foundation  $25,000 and pledged another $5,000 per year for 10 years for the Richard Russell Leadership Series. The donation is in honor of the three Georgia SNA Presidents, Dr. Josephine Martin, Mary Nix and Nancy Rice.

Georgia Senator Richard B. Russell is known as the father of school nutrition and his name is on the original National School Lunch Act created in 1946.

The Leadership Series fund is to support leadership training and expand the academic and intellectual development of school nutrition professionals by providing funds for a leadership speaker break out session at the School Nutrition Association's Annual National Conference (ANC).

This donation is made possible in part by the wonderful support from US Foodservice and the following companies that participated in the US Foodservice Wellness Fair:
Cohen Brokerage
Food Sales East
General Mills
Gregory Packing
Heinz
Hopco Brokerage
Innovative Concept Group
Kellogg's
