GSNA Legislative Position

  1. GSNA requests that the budget receives no cuts in state funding for School Nutrition in the FY 2022 budget.
  1. GSNA requests that $5 million be restored to state funding for School Nutrition in the FY 2022 budget. The restoration of these state funds will help offset rising health insurance costs and support the primary goal of preserving quality local school nutrition programs in Georgia.
  1. Increase the funding for the Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) from the current $15.50 to $15.75 per month per year of service, to be included in the Fiscal Year 2022 budget.
