GSNA 20201 Annual Conference Update

I hope this message finds you in the best of spirits. First, allow me to say I commend each of you for your help and dedication to Georgia’s school nutrition programs. With your help we have proven to be victorious in the mission of feeding children no matter the obstacle!

The relationship between vendors and school nutrition in Georgia is unmatched! You all have been willing to help in any way. From providing inventive new products to make our new normal easier and keeping us stocked with the tried and true. You have been there to help on the frontlines and stepped up in the community.

We are now more than half way through this school year still making incredible magic with each passing day. Our hope for the future is that we will be able to enjoy some of the things we may have taken for granted, such as networking and fellowshipping with one another.
While our day to day continues to be uncertain, I regret to inform you we will have to postpone our 2021 66th Annual GSNA Conference that would have taken place on the beautiful and historic Jekyll Island.

Please know that we at GSNA are vigilantly working and planning something spectacular with the hopes of a “face to face” conference next fall in Athens at the Classic Center, tentatively October 26-27, just prior to the GDOE Directors conference.

Until then we are working on some ways to connect members and vendors. Please continue to look to GSNA as a key contact for keeping you engaged with school nutrition in Georgia.

Stay safe and have a happy holiday season.

Until we meet again,

Tessany Lockhart
GSNA President 2020-2021
