November 2019 Newsletter: Reflections and Blessings

Message from the President

Meetings & Events Calendar

It’s important that we take a moment to give thanks and reflect on all of the accomplishments and blessings we have received this school year. As I look back, I am thankful for so many things. First, and most importantly, I am thankful for all of our School Nutrition community and GSNA team members, and for all of the hard work each of you has put in to feeding our students and communities. Your commitment and dedication to what we do is truly amazing.

This season prompts us to give back and as I've traveled across the state these past few months, I've been able to witness first-hand how each of our districts has done just that - from fundraisers, to food bank donations, food baskets and diapers for DFACS and hurricane victims, and backpacks for students, the list goes on and on. All of these efforts to give back is just one of our goals to assist local communities. I feel very blessed to be a part of such an amazing and inspiring group of people and urge each and every one of you to continue the outstanding work.

As you count your blessings this holiday season, I hope that you will take a special moment for yourself to reflect on all of the individual accomplishments you’ve made throughout the year. Spend time with your family and loved ones, and enjoy some well-deserved time off. Thank you again for all that you do and I wish each of you a very blessed Season full of nothing but love and giving!
