National School Lunch Week Kick Off Luncheon

Celebrate excellence in Georgia school nutrition as GSNA kicks off National School Lunch Week with the 2026 theme, “Cafeteria Circus: Where Nutrition Takes Center Stage!” The luncheon will recognize outstanding accomplishments from the 2025–2026 school year, including award presentations from the Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Program, the 2026 Cafeteria of Excellence Award, and the 2025–2026 Tray of the Week winners.

School Level Track

Step Right Up to Culinary Excellence

Step into the spotlight and discover fresh ideas that will take your school kitchen to the next level! These engaging, hands-on sessions are designed for school-level professionals and feature practical culinary techniques, creative menu ideas, and simple strategies to enhance the quality, flavor, and presentation of school meals.

Participants will gain valuable skills they can put into practice immediately, helping them build confidence, increase student appeal, and create memorable dining experiences—one meal at a time.

System Level Track

Beyond Compliance: Strategic Leadership for Upcoming USDA Challenges and Changes

The school nutrition landscape is constantly evolving, making it essential for system-level leaders to stay informed and prepared. This session explores pending USDA regulations, emerging policy issues, and the strategies needed to successfully navigate change.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of their potential impact on school nutrition programs, and the importance of informed leadership throughout the regulatory process. Whether discussing policy updates, implementation strategies, or opportunities for advocacy, this session will equip leaders with the knowledge and confidence to make strategic decisions for their programs.
